It is the Norwegian Martial Arts Federation’s approved regulations for full-contact karate and

full-contact karate with restrictions (dated 19.12.2023) that apply during the event.

Athletes can only represent one club. A minimum of 2 athletes must start in the class for this to

be discontinued. Merging classes can be carried out according to previous practice.

Kumite

All classes in full contact with restrictions, follow the calendar year. It`s the athlete’s age 31.12

that determines for which class the athlete will participate in.

Full-contact, Full-contact U21 and Full-contact Recruit follow the date of birth.

Athletes who have turned 18 in 2025 and that before February 15, can choose to participate in

Full-contact U21, Full-contact recruit or in Full-contact with limitation. U18.

It will only be possible to participate in one of the classes: Full-contact, Full-contact U21 or Full-

contact with limitations.

Kata

Kata is judged by flag with requalification.

See regulations for which katas are allowed in which class and round.

It is allowed to do the same kata several times, but not the same one that was performed in the

previous round.

Norwegian clubs/athletes who are not registered in the Norwegian Martial Arts Federation’s membership system will not be included in the draw.

Valid identification for the athlete must be presented at registration and weigh-in.

Coach

Clubs that field athletes must also sign up for a coach with name, phone number and email

address. Otherwise, we risk not being able to communicate any changes or requests. Which can

lead to problems with the event day.

Al coaches must enroll with email address and mobile phone number.

Judges

Registration as a referee is done by sending enrolment to kyokushin.open.norway@gmail.com

A mandatory referee meeting will be held on Friday 14 February at Scandic Bergen City at 20-22.

The organizer reserves the right to cancel the competition or classes in the event of low registration or other circumstances that are beyond our control. In the event of cancellation, the organizer takes no responsibility for any booked tickets, hotel or other costs the club has taken in connection with the event.

Transport

The organizer provides bus transport from Official hotel Scandic Bergen City to Laksevågshallen

with return. State the number of people who want to use bus transport to the organizing club, no

later than when registering on Friday evening.

Kiosk / Cafe

It will be possible to buy fruit, food and drink during the tournament.

Various

The organizer informs that photos and films from the event may be taken with participants and

officials that may be published in an editorial context.

Sayonara party

A Sayonara party will be held at Scandic Bergen City, Saturday 15 February at 20:00

Referat fra EM i Wroclaw i Polen – 26. og 27. oktober 2024

Lørdag 26 og søndag 27. oktober ble EM i Shinkyokushin karate arrangert i Wroclaw i Polen. 

Norge stilte med fire utøvere, Merna A. Aldaher og Sigurd H. Odden fra Arendal Karate Klubb. Sol Vindenes og Henrik Strandos Lovik stilte fra Bergen Karate Klubb. Samtlige utøvere stilte i U16 klassen. Amir P. Ghazishoar var coach for utøvere fra Arendal og Lars Petter Lovik for utøverne fra Bergen. Bo Vidar Larsen og Nils Ove Dybsland var med som dommere.  

I tillegg var Sols foreldre, Hege og Tommy, og Henriks mamma Hege Irene med som supportere sammen med Lojain fra Arendal. 

Sol var først ut av utøverne fra Bergen. Hun møtte en offensiv polsk jente som fikk kampen inn i sitt spor. Sol ble presset defensiv og tapte dessverre sin kamp. 

Henrik fikk også polsk motstand. Det ble en intens kamp som dessverre endte med tap for Henrik. Det var flere enn oss fra Norge som mente at Henrik ble bortdømt i sin kamp.  

Det ble også tap for Merne og Sigurd i sine kamper. 

Det ble mye dømming, både i kata og i kumite, for våre to internasjonale dommere. 

Oppsummert, så var dette et flott arrangement. På lørdag ble det konkurrert i kata og i fight i U16 og U21 klassene. Søndag var forbeholdt fight i Åpen klasse for kvinner og menn. Gjennom helgen opplevde vi noen fantastiske fine kamper, men også en del dommeravgjørelser som skapte en del kontroverser i ettertid.
